The Modernist

A striking collection of contemporary graphic design and illustration inspired by the principles of classic modernism.

The Modernist brings together work shaped by functionalism, pragmatism and a deliberately restrained visual language. Limited colour palettes, geometric forms and minimal graphic elements are combined with contemporary techniques, including vector graphics and digital construction, creating work that feels both rooted in modernist tradition and distinctly of its time.

Rather than simply recreating the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s, the book explores how modern designers and illustrators reinterpret modernism through new tools and approaches. The result is a thoughtful collection of pared-back, highly considered work that demonstrates how simplicity can remain powerful and relevant.

A must-have for lovers of graphic design, illustration and modernist aesthetics.
