Signed First Edition Maeve Binchy Tara Road 1998

A lovely first edition, first impression hardback of Tara Road by Maeve Binchy, published by Orion in 1998.

This copy is signed and dated 12 September 1998, just two weeks after publication, likely from an early signing in Eason’s, Dublin.

It is personally inscribed:
“Mary – I hope you like this. Go home now and read it at once. Maeve Binchy”

The book is in such excellent condition that it appears Mary may not have taken that advice, as it looks barely opened.
Original Eason’s price sticker (£19.90) still present, adding a nice touch of Irish provenance.
Condition is excellent overall; clean, tight binding with dust jacket. Very light wear only.
A charming and collectible copy of a much-loved Irish novel.
