Description
I'm selling my late father’s beloved Bacon & Day Silver Bell No.1 Tenor Banjo.
He owned it for nearly 45 years. It hasn't been played properly in over 15 years and has been sitting in its case since.
Built in 1924, so 102 years old currently.
Serial number is 12934
19 fret ebony fingerboard with beautiful diamond cut pearl inlay postion markers.
Maple neck with 3 ply veneers, rim and resonator with dark stain finish.
Fancy design pearl inlaid head-stock both front and back.
Oettinger finger style tailpiece and ‘GROVERPAT’ geared tuners with ivoroid buttons.
Can be viewed in Ranelagh and price is slightly negotiable for genuine bidder.
