Dustjacket worn and whitened at corners as shown. Still nice tight copy of this first edition. This copy signed and inscribed by the author to Sandy Sturges, (presumably the actor and wife of Preston Sturges).
The author was a famous alpine skier and went to the 1936 Winter Olympics. Also a well-known mountaineer and adventurer.
