Description
Authentic militaria hip flask manufactured by Birmingham silversmiths Daniel & Arter. Based on the maker's mark, this piece dates between the late 1890s and 1919.
These were carried by British military officers during the Boer War and the Great War (WWI).
Features a thick glass body, a stitched dark leather shoulder shroud, and a screw-top lid. The lower half features a removable metal base sleeve that slides off to serve as a personal drinking cup (or "tot" cup).
The leather with age related wear. See pictures for condition.
