The British Drug Houses Ltd (BDH) was a chemicals and pharmaceutical company established in 1908 and was restructured in 1964, renaming itself as the BDH Group. In 1967 the company was acquired by Glaxo through a shares take-over and in 1973 by Merck of West Germany. The BDH had also been actively involved in scientific research into pharmaceuticals.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 11" height x 4 3/4" width (283mm x 120mm).
Material(s): brown glass.
Finish: moulded in a two-part mould with company name and maker's imprint (first letter of the maker's initials is obscured by mould marks). Please see photos.
Weight: about 1.15 kg.
Approximate age: 1940's to 1960's.

CONDITION:
Good condition. No chips, no cracks. There are some surface abrasion marks.
