Hello is this just a single bed or would it fit two people, I’ve a kangoo maxi it looks like it would fit
@Paddymc129 hi yes it is built as a single person unit for vans like kangoo, berlingo etc . i made around 20 to 30 different units a year , both double and single removable units like this depending on orders , i also converted vans to campers ,sadly due to health issues i can no longer continue to build anymore units so this is the last one i have .
Ah, shame because I’d have loved a double unit, it’s an outstanding unit for the money on even the materials alone, fair play and good luck with the sale. Thanks.
@Paddymc129 thanks for the comment paddymc, i used to make 2 person units and have sold a lot of them on here in the past 20 yrs or so , i also made bespoke units for everything from fiat 500 to electric vehicles but mainly for kangoos berlingos etc . my 2 person units were similar to the amdro boot jumps but had slide out bed extension rather than fold out solid panel ones , i sold them for around 500 euro . good look with what your after .
Hi could you make one for transit customer with double bed size. Also if you could what price. Thank you.
no problem buddins , sorry i cant help you but due to health issues im no longer able to make my bed boxs or do any camper conversion . good luck with your search ,i hope you find something to suit your needs and thanks for looking .
Hey would this fit in the back of a kangoo wheelchair conversion if the back left side passenger seat was still in?
@Le Gs hi , yes it should do ,they were originally designed for kangoo and berlingo type car/van mpvs and fit in at the back with the double rear seats folded down . so i take it that as you have a wc converted vehicle you only have the single passengerside rear seat to allow room for wheelchair access on the rear driver side ?
to get the unit fully extended in bed mode you slide the front seat as far forwards as it will go and fold down the back of the seat ( some kangoos had tilt forward front seats that could be tipped up against the dashboard) this allows enough space to open the slideout sections fully . the slatted sections that make up the bed use the folded rear seat back as support ,so no need for hanging straps or complex support boards like on other bedboxs, mine also have fold away legs on each of the slatted sections to make sure they are well supported . if your interested you could always bring your car down to me and we can do a test run , you need at least 29 inch width clearence between the folded part of the back seat and the inside of the car doors or wall .
