2014 PEUGEOT RCZ R | 1.6 THP TURBO | 270 BHP | 6-SPEED MANUAL

Some cars are designed to look good. The RCZ was designed to turn heads. The RCZ R takes that concept to an entirely different level. Finished in stunning Moroccan Red Metallic, with a contrasting black roof, sculpted bodywork and beautifully proportioned alloy wheels, this is one of the most distinctive performance coupes of its generation.

And this isnt an ordinary RCZ. This is the range topping RCZ R

THE PERFORMANCE 270 BHP

Under the bonnet sits a highly tuned 1.6-litre THP turbocharged petrol engine producing:
* 270 BHP at 6,000 RPM
* 330 Nm of torque
* 6-speed manual gearbox
* 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds
* 250 km/h top speed

But the real magic is underneath. Peugeot Sport equipped the R with a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential, specially developed suspension, a 10mm lower ride height and uprated braking performance.

This is a proper drivers car, engineered to put its power down effectively and deliver serious cornering ability.

A DESIGN THAT STILL LOOKS LIKE A CONCEPT CAR The RCZ was originally unveiled as a concept at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, with production following in 2010. Designed by Peugeot designer Boris Reinmller, the production car stayed remarkably faithful to that original concept.

One of its most extraordinary features is the iconic DOUBLE BUBBLE ROOF AND REAR GLASS. The twin-curved glass profile follows the sculpted roofline, creating a design inspired by classic Zagato bodied sports cars.

Add the distinctive aluminium roof arches, muscular rear haunches and beautifully flowing silhouette, and you have a car that looks unlike anything else on the road.

The RCZ R was produced in very limited numbers: 3054 examples were built worldwide, with 305 reported as RHD cars makes the R a particularly interesting proposition for enthusiasts and collectors.

A Peugeot Sport developed performance machine, genuine mechanical engineering, striking Italian influenced design and a rarity factor that makes it stand out from the usual German performance crowd.

One Irish owner of this stunning Moroccan Red RCZ R, imported from the UK April 2017 Not to be mistaken for the 200bhp 1.6 litre petrol version, or indeed the 165 bhp diesel models.

The RCZ R was built in low volume at Magna Steyr in Austria.
