One-of-a-Kind Irish Driftwood Lamp

This is a truly one-of-a-kind handcrafted lamp, created from genuine Irish driftwood responsibly found along the east coast of Ireland. Every curve, hollow and grain pattern is completely unique, ensuring that no second piece can ever be replicated.

The journey begins with carefully selecting a naturally weathered piece of driftwood. Every trace of soft or decayed timber is painstakingly removed by hand, revealing only the strong hardwood beneath. The wood is then treated with natural oils and left to cure for a full week, allowing the oils to penetrate deep into the grain.

Once cured, the timber is traditionally charred using a controlled burning process. This not only highlights the stunning grain and natural character of the wood but also creates an exceptionally durable surface that helps preserve the piece for years to come. Finally, multiple coats of boiled linseed oil are applied, enriching the colour while nourishing and protecting the timber from within.

No artificial preservatives or synthetic finishes are used—just natural materials that enhance the beauty of the wood.

The result is both functional lighting and a striking sculptural artwork, equally at home in a modern interior, rustic home, cabin, office or designer living space.
