Anchor Hocking Fire-king peach lustre bowls

Fire-King was introduced in 1942 by the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in Lancaster, Ohio, as an affordable, heat-resistant alternative to Pyrex.
Sold widely in five-and-dime stores, hardware stores, and grocery outlets. Fire-King pieces were also famously given away as promotional premiums packed inside bags of flour, oatmeal, or gas station fill-ups.
In 1948, Anchor Hocking expanded Fire-King into commercial production for restaurants, schools, and the U.S. military, making durable, stackable, and plain-styled plates, mugs, and bowls.
Lines expanded to include solid colours, geometric designs, and transfer-printed floral patterns.
Mass production of the original vintage Fire-King line ceased in 1976.
