Antique 1880s Pinder Bourne & Co Blue & White Chelsea Bird Platter - Victorian 16" Meat Plate - Pre-Doulton
Genuine antique Victorian ironstone meat platter by Pinder, Bourne & Co Burslem c.1870s, later to become Doulton / Royal Doulton, impressed mark PINDER BOURNE & CO B 74 to base. Classic Chelsea Bird / Oriental Bird pattern with long-tailed exotic birds on prunus blossom branches in cobalt blue transferware. A large oval serving platter approx 40cm, in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks, light crazing consistent with age. A fantastic 140 year old statement piece for farmhouse kitchen, wall display or serving - very collectible.
