Fabulous Vintage 35 Piece Brown and White Fair Winds, Historical Scenes of Chinese Export to America Dinner Service by Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire

I am almost at the end of my effort to downsize, not many items left to list! I have some more dinnerware to list, including this almost complete dinner service

For sale here is a Vintage Brown and White “Fair Winds, Historical Scenes of Chinese Export to America” Dinner Service by Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire

Suitable for daily or special occasion use, wall hanging, or kitchen dresser display. I will have matching other plates available, if you need more than six place settings.

Included in this Dinner Service set are the following 35 items:
Six Large 10.5 inch Dinner Plates
Six 8 inch Salad Plates
Six 7 Inch Bread and Butter Plates
Five Small 5.25 inch Fruit/Oatmeal Bowls (one short of the half dozen unfortunately)
Six Cups
Six Saucers

All are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing apart from the following two exceptions.
One of the five bowls has a couple of small nibbles on the rim as photographed. One cup has a large chip to the rim, as photographed, but I have included a replacement (in fact, two) Brown and White cup which works well, even if it is from a different set. See the photo.
Some of the items are slightly different shades of Brown, as this collection was probably built up over time.

Each size of plate, bowl, etc has a different Nautical Scene from the golden age of Tall Ship trade between China and America.
The design on the Dinner Plates features at the centre, the tall ship “Friendship of Salem”.
The design on the Salad Plates features at the centre, the tall ship “The George Washington at Anchor ”.
The design on the Bread and Butter Plates features at the centre, “U.S.S. Constitution Engaging Chinese Junks”
The design on the Fruit/Oatmeal Bowls features at the centre, “U.S.S. Portsmouth off the Barrier Forts Canton”
The design on the cups features the “Sailor’s Farewell” and the “New York State Seal”
The edges of all the plates, bowls and saucers feature surrounding border vignettes including U.S. Delaware Capturing Le Croyable, Inspecting the Pots Canton, Wall Street Docks New York, Canton Port 1830, New York Harbor 1830, and the Great Seal of the United States, E Pluribus Unum.

Price is for the whole 35 item Dinner Service as a set and I would rather not split it up.
