My grandfather collected antiques.

Originally from Tuscany, Auro Belcari perfected his artistic expression techniques, working as an apprentice in several workshops of alabaster sculptors. After finishing his academic studies in the field of art, Belcari was for a long time the leader of the creative team of the "Dear" workshops. His figurative sculptures, made of "cold cast porcelain" composite, stand out both for the quality and minuteness of the details as well as for the superior durability of the material used.

Specialized in the traditional art of the famous Capodimonte manufactures, Auro Belcari is an exponential artist for the "cold cast porcelain" sculptural technique, being the mentor of artists such as Ermanno Farina and Piergiorgi Bani.

The statuettes produced in the "Dear" workshops were made in limited series, being mainly intended for export to the United States and Great Britain.
