Description
This Portmeirion lidded canister with the green ovel backstamp from the 1960's &1970's. The matte black body paired with bright gold lustre bands is highly characteristic of legendary designer Susan Williams-Ellis's early1960's work. Itexactly matches the body style of her "Greek Key" & "" Gold Sun" collections which utilised a premium matte black finish with 22caret gold bands. It is in excellent undamaged perfect condition, no chips scratches or damage whatsoever. A really good example of a piece from this era.

@baby blue shoes the canister is13cm tall to start of lid the lid adds another 7cm the diameter of the base is just over 10cm inside that ridge on the bottom the gilding is in incredibly good condition. I can see no marks or scratches on it, looks like it was never used. It is quite a heavy item compared to other items of this kind.
