Stunning Pair of French APT Ware Vases
Stunning Pair of French APT Ware Vases
Description
Rare, monumental, and completely flawless.
These striking 18.5-inch (47 cm) French Aptware vases are a masterclass in the traditional terre mêlée (mixed clay) technique.
Unlike painted glazes, this mesmerizing marbled effect is created by meticulously blending colored clays before throwing them on the pottery wheel.
Finding a monumental pair of this scale intact is incredibly rare—let alone in perfect condition and fully hand-signed by the artisan on the base.
A true piece of Provencal history.
