Vintage Pair of Mid-Century West German Pottery Vases, Dumler & Breiden

Stunning matching pair of vintage West German art pottery vases from the iconic mid-century era, manufactured by the highly collectible maker Dümler & Breiden.

Both pieces feature a beautiful, modernist pitcher/handled shape with a matte faux-wood grain brown finish. They are spectacularly accented with a heavily textured, volcanic metallic gold relief band around the widest section and finished with a brilliant, glossy contrast teal/blue glaze on the inside.

• Large Vase (Right): Model shape series 1525-28 (stands approximately 28cm tall).
• Small Vase (Left): Matching smaller companion silhouette (stands approximately 19cm tall).


Vintage condition with no cracks or major structural damage. The gold relief banding and matte glazes are beautifully preserved. Normal age-related wear on the bases. The smaller vase shows a tiny bit of minor glaze wear near the upper gold rim line (as pictured), which is very common for pieces of this age and adds to its authentic mid-century character. There is original sticker residue or remnant of stickers from the era.
