Description

Excellent example of a vintage Evertaut machinist chair. Birmingham, England. Est. 1920s.
Pressed steel saddle seat. Cast brass height-adjustment collar. Olive green four-leg spider base. Original label still on the column.
Evertaut supplied factories, drawing offices, and workshops across Britain through the mid-twentieth century. This style of chair was standard issue in industrial and technical workplaces from the 1930s through to the 1960s.
This one is most likely 1940s. It could have come from a factory floor, a print room, or a draughtsman’s office.
