Early 20th Century Chest of Drawers

For sale here is an early 20th Century Oak Chest of Drawers or “Lowboy” . Circa 1900 - 1930.

It features a scalloped or pie crust edge trim all around the top edges of the piece. It’s entirely made of early solid oak.

The hardware or pull handles are of an Art Deco style cast metal, with a “faux-ivory” insert, made of galalith or butterscotch bakelite.

It’s supported by classic Queen Anne style cabriole legs, elevating it to give it more presence.

It may well have been a dresser sideboard in a, with a mirror attachment when originally constructed.

Either way, it is a wonderful unique piece of furniture.

Note: it is an antique piece, therefore it should be appraised as such - commensurate with its age.
