Vintage 1947 Children's Hardback Book: The Treasure Hunt by Olive Duhy"

Title: The Treasure Hunt and Other Stories
Author: Olive Duhy
Illustrator: René Cloke
Publisher: P. R. Gawthorn Ltd (Printed by Edson Printers, Watford)
Publication Year: 1947 (Scarce mid-century edition)
Good Vintage Condition (Bright cover & very clean pages)
• Cloth Boards & Cover: The original red cloth boards are clean, strong, and structurally sound. The black print on the front cover is perfect and sharp. There are minor, expected bumps to the front corners.
• Title Page Fading: Please note that on the fourth page (the main title page), the printed text for the title, author, and illustrator has significantly faded over time, though it is still visible. The phrases "by" and "illustrated in colour by" remain the most distinct.
• Pages & Binding: The binding is perfectly secure. The internal story pages are crisp, bright, and completely clean with absolutely no marks, doodles, or stains.
• Endpapers & Inscription: The first and final blank endpapers show heavy age-related yellowing. There is a charming vintage gift inscription on the second blank page which reads: "With love to Veronica From Auntie & Uncle Richard & Vivian".
• Dust Jacket: Includes the original dust jacket, but it is in poor condition with significant wear and tears (see photos).
