@pirelli there is only one other clock like this it’s only the face part dial it’s not compete and it’s in a museum in England this is a very rare and unique clock
This looks like a standard anglo-american drop dial clock, the movement being a typical two train type manufactured in their thousands every day by companies like Jerome in USA. The cabinet is a typical mass manufactured type produced in England in their droves by companies in cities like Birmingham and Liverpool. The combination of a British cabinet with an everyday American movement allowed the ordinary person to purchase a nice clock in Victorian times. The name of a retailer being placed on a clock face, in this case Johnny Carr, Rinboy, is not unusual. The likelihood that this retailer had any part to play in the manufacture of the movement or the cabinet is highly unlikely. Clocks of this type with retailers names on the dials command prices ranging from 80 to 350 euro. So, my question is, could you clarify your explanations when saying "a clock museum in England has part of the workings of one of his clocks but not the full Like me compete clock " & "there is only one other clock like this it’s only the face part dial it’s not compete and it’s in a museum in England this is a very rare and unique clock" What museum in England are you referrring to and what exactly is unique and rare that would merit putting this clock on display in a museum?
