1953 UK Coin Set

genuine UNCIRCULATED SET of 1953 BRITISH COINS

This set of 9 coins was issued by the BRITISH ROYAL MINT to introduce the public to the new coin designs and to commemorate the CORONATION of QUEEN ELIZABETH II.

The coins are retained in a plastic pack, many of which over time become brittle and break open. This particular set is intact.
The coins themselves are uncirculated and although never having been in general circulation, may show storage blemishes and some toning as expected as they are now 73 years old!!

The set includes 9 coins including the SCARCE 1953 PENNY which was only ever issued in these sets.

Denomination details are as follows;
HALFCROWN, TWO SHILLING, SIXPENCE, ONE SHILLING (ENGLISH & SCOTTISH DESIGNS), BRASS THREEPENCE, ONE PENNY, HALFPENNY, and FARTHING.
