Description
This is a 1995 UK £2 coin commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II, known as the "Dove of Peace" coin.
The reverse design, by John Mills, features a stylised dove carrying an olive branch, symbolising peace.
The coin was issued by The Royal Mint in various versions, including circulating nickel-brass.
The edge inscription reads "1945 IN PEACE GOODWILL 1995".
The obverse features the third major portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf.
