Cinibar Chinese pendant

An ornately carved, traditional Chinese-style cinnabar pendant.

The intricate design features two primary traditional Chinese auspicious symbols nestled in swirling foliage:

​The Phoenix (Fenghuang): On the right half of the pendant, you can see a stylized phoenix with a curved neck, beak, and elegant, sweeping feathers. In Chinese culture, the phoenix represents grace, virtue, and high status.

​The Peony: On the left half, there is a fully bloomed peony flower. The peony is known as the "king of flowers" in China and traditionally symbolizes prosperity, wealth, and honor.
