Basic Operating Instructions

Power On: Pull the green trigger to turn the device on.

Take a Reading: Aim the thermometer at your target and pull and hold the trigger. The laser indicates the center of the measurement zone.

Hold Reading: Release the trigger to freeze the reading on the display for 7 seconds (indicated by "HOLD" on the screen).

Emissivity Adjustment: Use the emissivity selector to toggle between Low (0.3), Medium (0.7), or High (0.95). Use "High" for most organic materials and "Low" for shiny metal surfaces to improve accuracy.

Switching °C/°F: Locate the small switch inside the battery compartment to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Quick Tips for Accuracy

Shiny Surfaces: Shiny metals reflect IR energy and can give falsely low readings. You can apply black electrical tape to the surface and measure the tape's temperature for a more accurate result.

Acclimatization: If moving the tool between significantly different environments (e.g., from a cold truck to a hot boiler room), let it sit for about 30 minutes to stabilize before taking critical measurements.

Clean Lens: Keep the lens free of dust and fingerprints by gently wiping it with a moist cotton swab.
