We are am not the cheapest, we don’t aim to be. What we do aim for is quality! We have bought others '99.8%' and tests showed this true measure to be around 95.0% just by density measurement alone, precision BP analysis confirmed this. That 5% doesn’t sound like much, but ask yourself, in that 5% how much is acetone, butanol, benzene, water... what else could be dissolved in those impurities?
We don’t just buy a barrel and rebottle, we completely re-process to ensure the highest levels of quality. These processes are naturally time and energy intensive. Specifically:
> Azeotropic Distillation.
> Molecular Sieving.
> Vacuum Distillation.
> Vacuum Filtration (pre and post).
If all your doing is cleaning paste off chips, then this level of quality is probably going over your head, but if you are performing extractions or other precision chemistry then that hidden water content can quickly sneak up behind you and bite you in the ass. You will need to run higher temperatures to drive out residuals and that will lead to a loss of yield and efficacy. Impurities can damage surfaces and be harmful to you as well!
