The Super Lambanana keyring is a metal representation of the iconic Super Lambanana statue in Liverpool. The original art work by Japanese artist Taro Chiezo was created in 1998 and was designed to warn of the dangers of genetically modified food, while also reflecting Liverpool’s history as a port city trading in commodities such as Lancashire wool and Fyffes bananas. The 17 foot-high statue currently stands outside Liverpool's John Moores University.
