Vintage Max Carl West Germany Wind-Up Monkeys

Cute lot of 3 vintage plush wind-up monkey toys in great condition for their age.
Includes:
• Light brown monkey with blue felt hat playing a drum (West Germany tag on ear). Fully working – winds and plays.
• Light brown monkey with red pointed felt hat playing brass cymbals. Fully working – winds and plays.
• Darker brown plush monkey in red/white/blue striped top and blue trousers. Key slips when wound (common issue, easily fixable) but otherwise in nice condition.
These are classic mid-century German-style mechanical toys (the two lighter ones are Max Carl / West Germany type, 1950s–60s). Soft plush bodies, felt faces, amber glass-style eyes, and metal wind-up keys on the backs of the lighter pair. The dark brown one has more realistic features with plastic hands and feet.
All three show only light, honest wear consistent with age – no major holes, tears, or heavy staining. Fur is still soft and full. Hats, instruments, and clothing are complete. Really lovely little characterful pieces for collectors or display.
Condition: Great for age. Two fully functional. Dark brown monkey key slips when wound but is fixable.
