Classic mid-century / Space Age white tulip dining table with a heavy metal pedestal base

Description

100cm diameter, approx 75cm high

Please note: will need repainting.
So selling as a refurbishment project. A previous owner repainted it without primer, so the paint is uneven on the top which has led to several ring marks on top (please see photos) and flaking along the metal base rim.

Otherwise it's very well made, extremely sturdy with heavy metal base with no wobble or structural damage. It has a very striking silhouette and is a design classic. With a quick bit of paint you can grab it at a bargain

Hi there, what kind of material is the top made of?

fimgerzzz 3 days ago

@lisa.sarsfield hi, it's wood, no idea what kind though

lisa.sarsfield 3 days ago

Do you know if is it a kind of composite wood like mdf or solid real wood?

fimgerzzz 3 days ago

@lisa.sarsfield not sure but I would guess it's a composite like MDF

lisa.sarsfield 3 days ago

Thanks for that. Is it actually a vintage table or modern remake?

fimgerzzz 3 days ago

@lisa.sarsfield honestly I don't know, don't know much about its origins, so I would just assume it's modern to be safe

If there's any plaques or imprints under the table or under the metal stem of the table it would indicate when it's from but I won't make you flip it over if you end up doing it sometime in the future just message me but honestly no stress atm
