POSTAGE 3.50 EURO. Collection Free

Tom Crean (1877–1938) was an extraordinary Irish seaman and Antarctic explorer who became one of the backbone figures of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. He ran away to join the British Royal Navy at just 15 years old then went on to serve on three of history's most grueling polar expeditions, surviving alongside legendary leaders Robert Falcon Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton. Documented historical accounts credit Crean with saving the lives of 29 of his fellow comrades through sheer physical endurance and unparalleled bravery.
