Vintage 1951 Shell Autoatlas Germany & 1951 ADAC Autobahn Map

An incredible piece of mid-century motoring history with direct family provenance. Up for sale is an original 1951 edition of the Shell Auto atlas Deutschland, printed by the Kartographisches Institut Kurt Mair in Stuttgart. This specific book was purchased and used by my father while he was stationed in Germany with the American Army in 1951. It has been carefully stored away in a clean environment ever since. Condition: Atlas: Exceptionally good vintage condition. Crucially, the internal maps have never been spread wide open, meaning the binding remains tight and the internal paper folds are crisp and free from splits or standard heavy use wear. It retains the clean, original "DM 8.50" price stamp on the cover.
