Here is a super rare Art Nouveau 16 inch German bisque doll..She is marked on the rear of the head H.W 4A foreign(German dolls for export to the UK market were marked foreign from 1891-1921..possibilities for the maker's include Hugo Wiegand..Heinrich Handwerck and Gedruder Heuback..She is wearing a very early and possibly original dress..The piece was originally held together with ropes..the arms still are..albeit loosely and the hooks are there for the head and legs to reattach(no 37 in on the top of one leg)..The doll is in overall nice condition (a small piece of one index finger missing).
