Turn the Beat Around focuses around a 21-year-old woman named Zoe (played by Romina D'Ugo) who dreams of becoming a famous dancer similar to her idol Malika (played by Brooklyn Sudano) and she persuades a local dance club owner Michael Krasny (played by David Giuntoli) to open a disco-themed danceclub. Zoe's rather unsupportive boyfriend Chris (played by Adam T. Brooks) doesn't approve of their partnership. The film features original music performed by Just Kait and Jason Derülo.



B-Girl is a 2009 dance film written and directed by Emily Dell and starring Julie Urich, Missy Yager, Wesley Jonathan, Drew Sidora, Aimee Garcia, James Martinez and based on director Emily Dell's 2004 short film of the same name.

In Brooklyn, Angel is a breakdancer who lives with her mother Gabby. Her abusive boyfriend Hector won't accept that she wants to break up. One night Angel and her best friend Rosie trade hats and jackets and Hector fatally stabs Rosie thinking she is Angel. When he realizes his mistake he stabs Angel too. After many weeks of recovery, Angel wants to breakdance again but is having difficulty. Gabby moves with Angel to Los Angeles to live with Angel's grandmother, where she believes Angel will be safe. Angel gets a night job at a car rental company and goes to college during the day. She also joins a group of breakdancers who need a sixth member to compete.



Feel the Noise is a 2007 American drama film written by Albert Leon, directed by Alejandro Chomski and produced by Jennifer Lopez. It was released on October 5, 2007 and stars Omarion, Giancarlo Esposito, Victor Rasuk and James McCaffrey.

After a run-in with local thugs to raise money for a chance at a record deal, a Harlem born aspiring rapper of an African American Mother and Puerto Rican father..Rob (Omarion) flees to Puerto Rico and to a Puerto Rican father (Giancarlo Esposito) he never knew, and finds his salvation in Reggaeton, a spicy blend of hip-hop, reggae and Latin beats. Puerto Rico, the spiritual home of Reggaeton, inspires Rob and his half-brother Javi (Victor Rasuk) to pursue their dream of becoming Reggaeton stars. Together with a dancer named C.C., they learn what it means to stay true to themselves and each other, while overcoming obstacles in love, greed and pride, all culminating in an explosive performance at New York's Puerto Rican Day Parade.
