Season 1:

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), a CIA Agent battling her own demons becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Sgt. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), a US soldier who had been missing and presumed dead for eight years was a set-up, and may be connected to an al-Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. Already on thin ice with the CIA, and now assigned to a desk job after an incident in Iraq, Carrie is forced to break protocol in order to prove her theory that Brody was “turned” during his many years in captivity and is now working for al-Qaeda.

Meanwhile, Brody receives a hero’s welcome at home, and attempts to reconnect with his family whom he hasn’t seen in eight years.

Season 3:
As Carrie (Emmy(R) winner Claire Danes) and Saul (Emmy(R) winner Mandy Patinkin) search for the truth behind the bombing of CIA headquarters, lines are blurred between friend and foe and no one can be trusted. While hiding a stunning secret of her own, Carrie helps recruit Brody (Emmy(R) winner Damian Lewis) for a dangerous mission that could offer him a chance at redemption. Season 4:
Crack CIA agent CARRIE MATHISON plays by her own rules when it comes to protecting the U.S. from terrorist attacks. Her uncanny intuition, dogged determination, and gift for persuasion helped her identify Nicholas Brody as a terrorist and convert him to an ally. She also headed the operation to capture and kill al-Qaeda mastermind Abu Nazir, and turned the man responsible for the CIA bombing, Majid Javadi, into an invaluable U.S. asset. Along the way, she fell in love with Brody and became pregnant with his child, which made his arrest and execution that much more traumatic for her. Season 5:
The game has changed for Carrie Mathison. Out of the CIA and living in Berlin, Carrie is trying to start a new life but realises now she’s the one with a target on her back. Season 6:
After thwarting a terrorist attack at Berlin’s Hauptbahnhof Station during the climactic finale of season five, season six picks up several months later following the recent election of the new President of the United States. Carrie Mathison is back on American soil, living in Brooklyn, NY, and working at a foundation that provides aid to the Muslim community living in the United States. As her estranged mentor Saul Berenson and Dar Adal begin preparations for the new President-elect, Quinn, left clinging to life at the end of last season, is convalescing stateside.

Season 7:
The seventh season of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning hit drama Homeland stars Emmy, screen actors Guild and Golden Globe winner Claire Danes and Emmy and Tony winner Mandy Patinkin; the cast of series regulars also includes returning actors Elizabeth Marvel, Linus Roache, Maury Sterling and Jake Weber, and joining the cast this season is acclaimed actor Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire). At the end of last season, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane (Marvel) broke her promise to Carrie (Danes) by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson (Patinkin). As season seven begins, Carrie has left her job in the White House and moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie (Amy Hargreaves) to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200.
