Description

Selling my Fender Special Run Black Paisley Jazz Bass.
It is in mint condition and has been really well minded.
Being a F.S.R.I believe only 100 of these were made, 50 stayed in Japan and the other 50 shipped worldwide.
The Bass was originally passive but it has been upgraded with Lindy Fralin pickups and a John East active preamp and a white pickguard .Fitted with new Elixer strings.
It took me about 2 years of searching to find one and had this shipped new from a music shop in Holland.
Comes with original black pickguard and Fender soft case..
This Bass is as new and is extremely rare
Last photo is how it looked originally with black pickguard.

No trades on this please.

I know you said no trades but I gotta ask - I have a 2004 Music Man Bongo (made in California) Egyptian Smoke up for sale on Reverb, any interest in a trade by any chance? It's priced higher but I've been looking for this particular black paisley model for a very long time, am willing to bring it down if you're interested. Thank you!

@HLDO: Hi, many thanks for your offer but sadly the bongo is not for me. I have had a Bongo 4HH previously and while they are a superb allrounder bass, it just was just not my thing.. Can I ask what weight is it? Just on the odd chance that it might be lighter than the Jazz.

Just a tad over 4kg (4.1) from the specs, lighter than most Music Man bass guitars, but not that far from the jazz I suppose. I hear you, it's a superb bass however haven't really got into my usual rotation. That's alright - gonna try and reduce price there, sell itand maybe it all works out. Lmk if you change your mind. Cheers!
