1986 Epiphone Accu Bass with rare 'hockey stick' headstock.

Crafted during the sought-after "Epiphone by Gibson" era at the Samick plant in Korea. Reading online on bass forums, these mid-80s Korean builds have a high reputation for quality that exceeds modern entry-level gear. The wood has 40 years of seasoning, so there is a natural stability and resonance that brand new instruments don't have.

The hockey stick headstock was only produced for a short window between 1986 and 1988, making it more rare as well as adding to the 80s aesthetic. It has a solid wood P-style body and a bolt-on maple neck with a slim profile that is much more comfortable than the thicker Fender models from the same time.

It's a perfect instrument for a beginner looking for something a little more premium, or a vintage collector looking for a classic workhorse.
