Bike43 longtail electric cargo bike

For sale: Bike43 long‑tail electric cargo bike with Shimano Steps mid‑drive motor and family set‑up. Bought new from Rothar in Phibsborough about a year and a half ago and ridden less than 650 km, so it is still in excellent mechanical condition.

The bike has a sturdy steel long‑tail frame designed to carry kids and cargo, with a front rack and wooden deck plus rear bench on the tail. The rear bench is strong enough to carry an adult and easily carries two bigger kids, so it is ideal as a car‑replacement for school runs, creche drop‑offs and weekend trips.

Motor is the Shimano Steps cargo system with matching display, with the original battery holding charge well and giving plenty of range for city riding. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear.

Condition: overall very good. There is some light surface rust on a few bolts and minor scratching on the paint of the front basket from normal use, but the frame, wheels, motor and battery are all in great working order. Never crashed and always stored at home.

Reason for sale: it is an amazing beast of a bike, but it turns out we do not really need a cargo set‑up, so we are downsizing to a simpler e‑bike.
