Bakfiets Classic Electric Cargo Bike Short StePs

We used this bike for our school run for 3 years, we have since changed to a school that we can walk to, so for the last year we just used it a few times a week to go to the shops. We are selling it as we don’t use it that much anymore, as in addition to moving schools both of our children are cycling their own bikes now.

Our children were 1 years old and 5 years old when we started using the bike for the school run; our older son is tall for his age and was using the bike until he was 8.

We bought a number of accessories with this bike as you can see from the photos including:
- A sun canopy cover
- A rain cover for the children’s seat part
- A cushion seat cover for the bench the children sit on
- A chest strap for the harness belts
- A headrest for our younger son (this can be removed)
- A raincover for the whole bike
- A large bike mirror
- A sold secure gold Hiplok bike chain lock (if you want to get bike insurance you require a gold standard lock)

Bike Maintenance
We keep our bike in the shed so it is never left in the rain, and always dry it so there is no problem with rust. As we have used this bike for over 3 years (4 in July) obviously there is some wear such as scratches etc. but functionally it is in good working order.

We always use a saddle cushion and rain cover so the original leather saddle is in good condition.

We have had our bike serviced at Feel Good Bikes in Johnstown. We have replaced both the tires to e-bike tires as they have better grip than the original tyres. We also had the hydraulic disc brakes replaced and the electric lights fixed.

The battery is in good condition; we have never had any issues with it. It takes approximately 2-3 hours to charge and lasts about a week, though we do not use the bike a huge amount, so this would depend on usage.

We registered the bike with the manufacturer on buying it and also on the Irish bike registration database.
