Custom E-Bike | 250W Bafang 48V 13Ah (624Wh) | 26in | Shimano Hydraulic Discs - Cork

Custom-built electric bike, rebuilt from the frame up. Everything electrical and everything that wears is new; the frame, motor and wheels are the original parts, stripped back and rebuilt. Genuinely excellent condition, with 60 km ridden since the rebuild was completed.

THE BATTERY
Brand new 48V 13Ah (624Wh) slot-in down-tube pack, unused and at full health. Both keys and the original charger included. A pack this size is around €300 on its own, so a large part of what you're buying here is effectively new. It locks into the down tube and lifts out in seconds for charging indoors.

- Display: KT LCD with speed, trip and total mileage, average speed and assist levels. Currently configured to a 25 km/h assist limit
- Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic discs, front and rear
- Gears: Shimano Altus 7-speed
- Wheels: 26" on Schwalbe Tough Tom tyres
- Front suspension fork with lockout
- Pedal assist up to 25 km/h
- Frame: medium, suits roughly about 5'7" to 6' -- I'm 5'8" and it fits me perfectly

NEW AND ORIGINAL PARTS
New: battery, controller, KT display, Shimano MT200 brakes, cables, chain, cassette, grips.
Original: frame (stripped and powder-coated gloss black), motor, wheels.

THE REBUILD
The frame was stripped back, powder-coated in gloss black, and built back up with new parts. The paintwork is as new, with no chips and no corrosion. Brakes are sharp, gears index cleanly, everything works exactly as it should. It's been stored indoors and ridden 60 km since. The one blemish anywhere on the bike is minor scratching and scuffing on the display, which does not affect its operation in any way.

PARTS AND SERVICING
Everything on it is standard Bafang and KT hardware rather than a manufacturer's closed system, so replacement motors, controllers and displays are cheap and available from any e-bike parts supplier. Nothing on this bike will ever be unobtainable, which is more than can be said for most budget e-bikes a few years down the line.

HONEST NOTES
The bike came to me from a relative, so I don't have an original receipt for it. What I can offer instead: come and inspect it, take it for a test ride, and I'll show you the frame number before you decide.
The display is currently set to cut assistance at 25 km/h.
Configured that way it is a legal electrically assisted pedal cycle. Above 25 km/h it stops being one and becomes moped territory -- registration, tax, insurance and a licence would all apply. I'm selling it set up as a 25 km/h bike.
