A genuinely beautiful example of the original Gibson B.B. King Lucille, dating from 1989 and made in Nashville, Tennessee.
Serial number: 80119539
The serial dates this guitar to 11 January 1989, making it an early example of the original Gibson Lucille production.
This is the proper Gibson Lucille, not the later Epiphone version. It features the distinctive B.B. King specification including:
Ebony/black gloss finish
No F-holes, as specified by B.B. King
Ebony fingerboard with large block inlays
"Lucille" headstock inlay
Gold hardware
Gold Grover tuners
Dual humbuckers
Varitone circuitry
Stereo and mono outputs
TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece
B.B. King truss-rod cover
Original Gibson hard case with the distinctive pink plush interior
The guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with a very clean overall appearance and only the minor signs of use you would expect from a 35+ year-old instrument.
The case is also in very good condition and is included with the guitar.
This is a particularly nice example for someone looking for an original early Gibson Lucille, rather than a later reproduction or modern version.
The guitar can be viewed and played by genuine prospective buyers.
