Putting this up out of interest.
This is essentially the love child of a cello and a guitar.
Hand made, one of a kind
27” scale, tuned cgda
Sapele back, top and sides. Salvage makore neck.
Cherry neck and back blocks, spruce bracing
Padauk fingerboard. Bone nut and bridge.
Tortoiseshell binding on top and back.
Epiphone firebird pickups, wired with coil split bridge
Passive treble and bass controls
Finished in button shellac with top & headstock tinted
Very nice instrument to play, medium action and perfect intonation

Hi there, lovely looking build! Can this be tuned EADG also or would that compromise neck tension/intonation etc?
@Benjamin Turner hiya - higher or lower? In both case yes.. higher would be no issue, you’d just need a lighter set of strings. lower you’d need a heavier set of strings and would have to re cut the nut. Tension wise it should be ok in both cases- the neck joint is a very solid piece of work and the top is well braced
