Handmade by the amazing Declan Larkin in Northern Ireland.
Nickle covers, wax potted, just starting to show some nice patina , comes in original box all complete with springs and screws to fit.
These are his late 50s style humbuckers that he custom wound in tribute to the famous "out of phase" pickups in Peter Green's Les Paul. (So they come wired out of phase but this can easily be reversed if you want the standard Gibson sounds.)
I bought these years ago and had them fitted to my R9, loved them so much I removed them to return the guitar to factory standard when selling it.
Declan was famous for his fantastic pickup builds and there is a lot of interesting mathematical theory concerning Fibonacci Sequences that he applied to his method of handwinding these, all I know is they are an incredible sounding ser of PAF style humbuckers and it is an absolute shame he has moved onto other things now.
Looking at ebay/reverb these seem to sell for a fortune when they do rarely appear on the used market.

Do you remember the Peavey T60 you sold me? I finally got to take it out and plug it in. The pickups have been pronounced dead by luthier Pete Griffin. My own fault buyer beware n all that..nice initials carved into the body too and painted over buckle rash which you didn'tinclude in the description..I really was an eejit to just let you drop the guitar off at my sons and I got ill thereafter so finally got to actually remove it from case and plug it in...Well there you go!

Hi, I do remember that guitar well. The pickups were absolutely working when I sold it to you as I distinctly remember putting new strings on it, plugging it in and playing it for a couple of hours the day before you took it. I remember checking the unusual Peavey tone/vol interaction/ hb/single coil splitter and phase splitter was also functioning so I'm certain both pickups were working at that time. Having said I also remember that one of the pickup selecter switches seemed to need cleaning and possibly the input jack also. I'm sorry you feel aggreived but I can't help feeling that might better have been resolved by a phone call or a PM instead of a post on a thread (in which I had refused your previous offer of a trade?) But you do you.

I imagine the guitar sitting for two years hasn't helped the possible corrosion on the pickup selecter or input jack.
P Griffin is normally a decent techbut I'd suggest you get the guitar back off him and put a multimeter on the pickups to check?

If I'd sold you the guitar yesterday I would absolutely be giving you your money and taking the guitar back. The fact that it was over two years ago that I sold you the guitar makes it all seem a bit bizarre at this point!
(I don't think I have ever bought a guitar and waited two years before plugging it it?)

Firstly my apologies for jumping the thread but for some weird reason I can't PM you anymore..secondly I have been really ill for the past 2 years and I genuinely never touched the guitar since I got it..so I can assure you there's no erosion etc..plus the body was in poor condition...look I just wanted you to know about it , just in case you were not previously aware. I am not looking for anything as I stated buyer beware. Most folk on here that know me also know I was really unwell. Priority was stay above ground!. Again my apologies for the thread please delete . I wish you well. GLWS of Declan's pickups they are a bit special.

@Howieboy .......Genuinely sorry to hear you were unwell. I am almost certain the problem is in the pickup selector switch, I bought that guitar on adverts and enjoyed it for about five years before I sold it to you and I have a memory of thinking there was a problem with pickups when I first got it but then both worked perfectly after I cleaned up the selector switch. Switch contact corrosion will happen even if a guitar is not being played.(If anything oxidation will build up more on a switch that is never being used. Rust never sleeps!) Ask P Griffin to check the pickups directly and not via a circuit which includes the selector or phase switches.

It's up for sale with Preloved Guitars N.I I will take a financial bath because of the dead pickups but I will pass on your theory to the guys. I am seriously downsizing the collection of 50+ Guitars hence the reason the T60 remained unopened and unplayed as I also bought another at that time.

From the guys: The problem is definitely 100% the pickups, Pete desoldered them & tested them disconnected from the guitar, the pots & switches tested good.
