During the very first months of shifting production lines in 1978, the Matsumoku factory used a Deluxe-routed body blank, finished it beautifully in solid black, installed the premium hidden-bolt neck system, dropped in the top-tier USA DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups and Carvin M22SD Super screamer made in USA and labeled it with a "Standard" truss rod cover before it left Japan. It is an amazing, unmolested capsule of vintage guitar history!
Guitar was fully serviced: new frets, low action, intonation, new set Fender strings electrics working perfect .
Body Description: The body is in remarkably clean shape for a 1978 vintage instrument. It shows honest, light cosmetic play wear, including typical surface scratches and minor finish swirls. There are absolutely no serious structural damages, wood cracks, or deep breaks anywhere on the body. The original factory finish has preserved beautifully, retaining its vibrant gloss and original hue exactly as it looked decades ago. A highly solid, clean example of late-70s Japanese craftsmanship!
