Epiphone Dot ES-335 Vintage Sunburst

2019 Epiphone Dot ES-335 Vintage Sunburst.

Built to the spec of the original 1958 ES-335, this features the SlimTaper "D" profile mahogany set neck, unbound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot markers, mated to a mahogany centre block with laminated maple body construction.

It has the classic Epiphone headstock, with pearloid inlay and ‘deco’ oval.

This model has Epi ‘57 Classic humbucker pickups, Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail, with Grover machine heads. Controls are the classic layout of separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, and a three-way selector switch.

This guitar was played professionally and is beautifully play worn. Neglected for a while, it has had a clean, fret polish, set up, and new Ernie Ball 10-guage strings. The fretboard has been treated with conditioning oil.

It plays beautifully with low action.

Subtle figured maple shows through the burst finish on the front, back and sides, making this a particularly attractive example.

Guitar is in excellent overall condition with only two minor finish marks, one on the front in the dark section of the burst scheme, and one on the back (pictured).

This is a classic of the line that is hugely versatile, from clean jazz to classic rock right through to full distorted humbucker growl.
