G&L ASAT Classic — USA-made, Fullerton, California, circa 2006
Butterscotch Blonde finish, 1-ply pickguard, Maple fingerboard.
This guitar carries the CLF-series sequential serial-number format used by G&L for its USA instruments from the late 1990s onward, rather than the separate serial-number system used for Tribute imports. The headstock is correctly marked G&L ASAT Classic, with no “Tribute” designation, and the construction, G&L hardware and traditional ASAT Classic specification are consistent with the USA model. Historical G&L serial/registry records place instruments with closely adjacent CLF serial numbers in the 2006 USA production period. The back of the headstock also retains the characteristic wooden dowel/plug associated with G&L instruments of this era, providing further supporting evidence of USA/Fullerton manufacture. How long have you had the guitar? You have it advertised as a tribute, but tribute models were €600 brand new....which is why I want the serial number to check what you are actually selling!
