@honeywell9: Hi,
The neck is modern, slim. comfortable. fast, a joy to play.
I never buy chunky necks..
Where abouts are you?

Thanks for the reply but I’ve purchased a Tele since. I’m sure it’s a lovely guitar and best of luck with the sale.
@JDubdawg13: Hi,
The CLF prefix on the serial number indicates that the instrument is part of the Tribute Series, which is distinct from the American-made models. Tribute Series guitars are produced in Indonesia to offer an accessible price point while retaining Leo Fender-designed MFD pickups made in California. The serial number format for Indonesian-made Tribute models typically follows a specific coding structure, and the presence of the "Tribute" branding confirms its origin outside of Fullerton, California.
However, what is important, is the specification of/on a guitar, how it plays,feels and sounds, not where it was assembled with that specification that could be assembled equally anywhere.
It plays, feels and sounds awesome..

@kendochop: I can't remember exactly.. probably about double the advert price.. Where abouts do you live?
Only reasons a was asking is I was pricing these on Reverb recently as looking at Tele’s and they are selling for way less like €500 - €750 so was wondering if this was a special model or something ? It’s a beaut but at that price looking at the market I can’t make an offer.
I paid 350 for a G&L ASAT tribute but Im fairly sure this is a USA model.
https://www.glguitars.com/product/fullerton-deluxe-asat-classic/ Its difficult to reconcile with the owner not knowing what they have.

You are welcome to come and see/play the guitar if you are interested in it.

What's the serial number please? I want to see how old etc it is as you don't seem to know much about it.
@natnifnolnacs: Hi, I am away from home at the moment so cannot check.
What will the serial number tell you?
Where do you enter the serial number in order to get any information about it?

The serial number tells you what year and month the guitar was made, and also where the guitar was made, what series it's from.
How long have you had the guitar? You have it advertised as a tribute, but tribute models were €600 brand new....which is why I want the serial number to check what you are actually selling!

@natnifnolnacs: Hi,
This guitar carries the CLF-series sequential serial-number format used by G&L for its USA instruments from the late 1990s onward, rather than the separate serial-number system used for Tribute imports.
The headstock is correctly marked G&L ASAT Classic, with no “Tribute” designation, and the construction, G&L hardware and traditional ASAT Classic specification are consistent with the USA model.
Historical G&L serial/registry records place instruments with closely adjacent CLF serial numbers in the 2006 USA production period. The back of the headstock also retains the characteristic wooden dowel/plug associated with G&L instruments of this era, providing further supporting evidence of USA/Fullerton manufacture.
On the available evidence, I assess the guitar as approximately 97% likely to be a genuine USA-made G&L ASAT Classic rather than a Tribute model. The exact production date has not been independently confirmed from the factory date markings.
