Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker 120th Anniversary Edition - Satin Wine Red

Pretty rare USA-made Gibson Melody Maker P90 from 2014, to celebrate Gibson’s 120th Anniversary.

Despite the Melody Maker name, these are really nicely spec’d guitars. It has a carved maple top, contoured mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard and Gibson P90S pickups, with a slightly brighter sound than a standard modern P90. Made in USA, with serial number visible on the headstock rear.

The satin Wine Red finish on this one has picked up plenty of natural wear over the years given its nitro finish. 50s-style round neck profile and weighs around 7.5lbs, so it’s also fairly light for a maple-top Gibson.

Condition is used with plenty of wear to the satin finish, including the usual playing areas, back of the neck, sides, dings and some scrapes. The guitar is missing its G-string tuning head. These can be sourced pretty easily however, and is a quick fix-up. Frets and fingerboard are in excellent condition with loads of life left.

Really cool and unusual American Gibson with great bite that you don’t see come up very often. Open to reasonable offers.
