@ikes Reason for that was to do with Patent regulations. The TV Jones Seltzer branding only became available on more recent editions after time. This is an older Gretcsh signature copy so could only use US Patent as the branding.
Are they just regular Gretsch probably Japanese made Filtertrons and not TV Jones Signature Setzers?
@ikes Will confirm for sure later. The Guitar was bought and made in the states. Let's confirm later when I can inspect the guitar more clearly as off to work now.
There are a few details to help confirm if they are indeed legit TV Seltzer pick ups or not . Watch this space Suspense is killing me...

@ikes: Hi, Only getting to this now. So this is 2005 Japanese made Fender Era (Professional Collection). These are indeed the Brian Seltzer signature TV Jones pickups that came with US patent etched on the pick up covers.
With respect if these were tv jones brian setzer signature pickups they would read so but they read the regular Gretsch with patent number mostly likely made in Japan as is guitar..Also if as you say is a 2005 guitar the brian setzer sigs weren't introduced until 2014.Just trying to be helpful here and don't mean to appear to be dissing your info..good luck with sale
@ikes That's why you might have to dig a bit deeper and do your research.
And YES you are WRONG.
A simple quick google search on Gretsch Black Pheonix Brian Seltzer 2005 -2015 will debunk your lack of Knowledge on this guitar. There is also a handy site called Reverb that I'd recommend too
As for the pick ups..hmmm again a handy Google search on how to identify a TV Jones pick up will throw up some very informative and intetesting details on what to look out..including the US Patent version of TV Jones pick ups.not all are etched or inscribed with the TV Jones logo. But there is obviously people out there that know it all . Good luck!

OK so you might finish off your lesson properly.Apart from seller's description how does one identify then as TV Jones Brian Setzer Signatures or indeed TV Jones Classics
@ikes Conversation ended. You have been on every Gretsch guitar Ad here on Adverts questioning the Pick ups..TV Jones this /TV Jones that..
You also stated that this guitar is not a Brian Seltzer signature guitar because they didn't come in to circulation until 2014..which I just debunked and proved you WRONG ..Because the BS line came into production in 2005 ?
You also stated that TV Jones pick ups are only TV Jones because it says so on the Pick up covers which again you are incorrect. There are a number of factors that can be identified on these Pick ups to confirm they are TV Jones pick ups with it saying so on the tin Lid. I ain't going to educate you any furtherwhen ive already school you with simple tips on how to source this info..lesson over as I said go do some proper research before you start slating people's Ads
Toddle along..cheerio
