Ibanez GB30

Description

Ibanez GB30 ,made in Japan .Rare George Benson model. Thin body like a Gibson 335. Made in 1992. Small chip on the top of the head and a scratch across the back of head near the top. It's not a crack, just a scratch across the paint, doesn't go into either side of the head, cosmetic only. It was like this when I bought it over 6 years ago ,zero issues with it.
Frets perfect, recently levelled and polished.
Beautiful guitar to play, quite a mellow sounding guitar. Great pickups and fantastic neck.
Set up with 10s and low, easy action.
Case included.

Might take part trade, but I'd need the majority in cash....

The GB30 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. It is a signature model for American jazz guitarist George Benson. It was made in Japan.

The GB30 is a semi-hollow version of Benson's flagship GB10 full-hollow body model with which is shares a silhouette. It has a slightly smaller, thinner body with a solid maple center block and different neck, pickups, bridge and tailpiece than the GB10. In addition the pickup selector toggle is located on the lower horn.

The GB30 features a compact, single cutaway, semi-hollow body design with a maple top with ƒ holes and multi-layer binding on maple back and sides with a solid maple center block mated to a set-in maple neck with a large headstock and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and offset abalone dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with black covers and individual volume and tone controls; black plastic pickup rings; a face-mounted output jack; a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar II bridge with a Quick Change II tailpiece; a bone nut; a black pickguard; Sure Grip II knobs and Ibanez Smooth Tuner II machineheads.

For 1988 the tuners were changed to Gotoh SG38.

The GB30 was discontinued after 1993.
