2021 Japanese Muscle Car Purple edition of Satch's iconic weapon of choice.
IMO the alder body is the perfect pairing for this design as the resonance is deeper, more pronounced and more nuanced than Basswood with this (JS) specific body shape. Big fan of Basswood but I just don't think it works the same with the JS form. I've had a few different JS models from across the years and ranges (I love them) and this one has by far the most/best mojo. You can feel it unplugged and that's always been my prime metric.
In perfect condition apart from a small spot of scuffing in the front-facing crook of the upper horn (see pictures 20-23) that I never got around to retouching. The only other real sign of use is the usual tarnishing on the screw heads in the heel pocket (picture 10). Zero fret wear, low action, perfectly level, no dents or chips, hasn't been gigged, electronics and mechanics working flawlessly.
Bespoke form-fitting case with all candy included along with an extra Ultralite trem arm (it's very comfortable and there's a noticeable difference on flutters).
