2004 squire standard body with 2010 affinity neck
Neck realigned, shimmed, and a new bone nut fitted. Refinished in shellac, with some minor repairs. Levelled a few high frets, and polished them all. Oiled and cleaned the fretboard. Looks and plays great now.
Pickups are donliss DS55 alnico 5 set. These are slightly hotter than standard, but still retain all the stratty goodness - very well made pup that sound great.
I’ve upgraded the caps, and replaced the volume pot with a new alpha. Was wired stock with a tone control for neck and mid/bridge which I've kept. I've also added a steel base plate for the bridge pickup to give it a bit more body, and cavity is shielded. Most recently I've replaced the stock switch with a new Oak Grigsby.
Two additional switches -one switches the middle pickup in series with the neck and bridge giving you fatter more neck/bridge hum-bucker sound , one switches neck in so you can have neck+bridge, or neck+mid+bridge.
All wiring neatly and competently done.
Finally there’s and new full sized trem block, steel saddles and a new back plate. Locking tuners also added. Slightly different sizing on the block and the bridge means tremolo arm is slight loose, but a wrap of tape solves that issue
Nicely set up with low action and intonation pretty much 100% from top to tail. Set up with 10s
There’s a lovely deep orange burst on this and finish is in good nick for a guitar that’s 20 y/o
