Beautiful playing telecaster better than any fender I’ve played, it was pristine when I got it so I went at it with some sandpaper to “ rough it up “ personally preference, it an unreal tale ! Needs to be played to be believed … I roughed it up so I wouldn’t sell it and here I am .. I just play acoustic now, may swap for an acoustic… this is a real collectors vintage guitar… better than the us equivalent if you ask me ,

@Aeuah103 I’d only be taking it to turn it over after a few months and the price difference is way too much, I am open to trading but for the right gear , I’m about 80% acoustic … this is an incredible tele honestly I went at it with sandpaper so I’d not sell it on and here i am it just doesn’t get played like all my electric guitars

Ooof, intentionally damaging a vintage guitar is a cardinal sin!

@keiran110 thanks for your help ! I’ll keep it …. I kinda intentionally damaged it so I’d intentionally keep it .. and wouldn’t intentionally sell it as it’s a real player … the best playing electric guitar I’ve ever played,,, I just don’t play electric at all now , but realistically I’m happy to intentionally keep it , it’s going a bit far calling it damage I used sandpaper to intentionally ware the paint down makes the 42 year old guitar look like it’s a 42 year old guitar intentionally … realistically I’ll intentionally keep it … Grma … thanks again for your help I’m a player not a collector but I’m quite happy to keep it, and play it every couple of months or so …

I've never seen the word intentionally used so liberally ;)

The word you're looking for is 'reliced' 'relicing'. Unfortunately it is a modification from the original finish which in this case reduces (damages) the price.
